Eric Cai Global Chairman (GEIS) About Me: I am an Electrical Engineer by education, work, career, and lifelong passion — a results-driven leader with over three decades of experience spanning State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), multinational corporations (MNCs), and private enterprises. My professional journey reflects a commitment to innovation, transformation, and building strong organizations that make things happen. Currently, I serve as the CEO of AEG Electrical Protection in Shanghai, China, since July 2017, where I have been leading the company’s growth by building on the acquisition of GE ED&C China’s business. My focus areas include Electrical Distribution & Control systems, Critical Power Solutions, and EV Charging technologies — driving the company’s evolution toward the future of sustainable power and smart energy systems. Since 2015, I have also been a Partner at Shanghai Angsu Management Consulting, providing strategic leadership and advisory services across industries. Prior to that, I served as President of Shanghai Guangdian Electric Group (SGEG), where I successfully led the company’s IPO process, resulting in its listing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on February 1, 2011. Before my leadership at SGEG, I held multiple key roles at General Electric (GE), including GM–Southeast Asia, GM–Industrial Systems China, and GM–Asia Technology & Sourcing. My tenure at GE was marked by milestones such as establishing the China Technology Center for GE Industrial Systems, leading NPI and Value Engineering, and managing regional business operations across Asia. My professional journey began as an Electrical Engineer at a China State-Owned Enterprise, where I built the foundation for my engineering and leadership skills. With a career built on global exposure, cross-functional expertise, and a passion for innovation, I continue to drive businesses toward growth, excellence, and sustainability.
